Today I want to have a look at Options Animal and if their training and options advice stacks up against their competition. They claim that their online trading courses help traders to learn whatever it takes to win the contracts in the Options market on a consistent basis. Let’s find out.
Options Animal was founded by Greg Jensen, an options investor, speaker, and author of the book “Spread Trading – An Introduction to Trading Options in Nine Simple Steps.”
Greg started trading in the mid-90s after graduating from college. As he started having some success he eventually moved to full-time trading and during this time period, people kept asking him if he would help them learn options trading.
Since he had a passion for educating others, he started working for a company who taught trading to individual investors. Fast forward a few years and Greg’s educational partner was in jail from shady business practices and Greg was left holding a bag full of passion and still wanting to reach out to traders.
Greg Jensen has designed Options Animal trading course with an aim to assist traders to reach their investing goals whether it’s capital preservation, wealth creation, or simply taking control of their own lives through financial security. They claim their success is in building successful traders by teaching the proper skills to protect the money, mastery of the trading strategies at hand, and methods to apply stock and options investing strategies at the market level.
You’ll have no shortage of trading information as they offer over 30-40 live classes a week. The classes are in several different formats including on-demand pre-recorded learning and live learning. And the training materials are also archived so you can watch and listen to them later.
Since there are several different instructors, you can listen to classes based on a particular instructor. If you happen to like one instructor over the rest then you can only listen to the classes that he or she facilitates.
In the actual learning models, you have 2 options. You can learn by watching the pre-recorded classes or you can register for the live version of the training and there are tests at the end of each module to reinforce the learning material.
The fact is there is so much training, it can be easy to get lost. They have eight different learning levels and each level has roughly 6-10 lessons in it. There were literally hundreds of hours of education (this includes the archived training).
They have several other additional offerings you might like. They have a section of the site where they share their personal trades with you and they also have a community forum. And they have live student summits a few times year where everyone goes to meet each other and learn in a live real-time setting.
However, they do seem very pushy with their sales process.
They don’t disclose the course fees in public. The course fee depends on the length of your use of their course materials. They come up with personally tailored course curriculums and prices based on customer requirements. Some of the other sources suggest that the course fee ranges from $500 to as high as $6,500. With this type of payment structure, you can expect to be paying a fair bit if you are interested in signing up for their classes.
Based on our review, customized course plans for individual students, mentoring & workshop programs are the unique parts of their offers to the clients. It seems they do their best to make you understand about their trading strategies and techniques that claim to bring you a good success rate while trading in the options market. However, a higher winning rate doesn’t guarantee that the strategy will be fit and understood by everybody else. A proven record of the performance of their strategy with examples is also missing in their business profile.
We actually really liked what they where doing and you can get a quality options education with Options Animal, but you really have to focus in on what you want to learn as there is so much material. If you can do that the program is good.
Also this is a pretty heavy price take for just training and not for trading alerts that deal with actual trades.
